Young Hearts Distilling may be Downtown Raleigh's first distillery, but we're sure that stills have been lit in basements and back alleys for generations. With respect to those before us, we're creating small batch gins, amari, agave, and more on a still made just for us.
Meet our Head Distiller, Willie Dale!
From building a sustainable distillery in the jungle of Panama to working with soju in Korea, Willie brings over 12 years of knowledge and adventure to our spirit operations. "I fell in love with the blend of art and science. I get to be a nerd, and I get to be creative. On top of that, I get to be both the back of the house and the front of the house. Working with people, my hands, and my brain covers all of the bases that I enjoy in a job.
